The SN74LS123N is a high-speed, dual-channel Low-Power Schottky (LS) TTL logic integrated circuit engineered for flexible output timing control. Because it is fully retriggerable, an incoming trigger edge updates the timing cycle while the output pulse is active, allowing the output duration to be extended indefinitely up to a 100% duty cycle.
The baseline pulse length is programmed externally via a linked Resistor-Capacitor (R-C) layout. It provides both active-low (A) and active-high (B) gated inputs for versatile edge triggering, alongside an overriding Clear line to terminate output bursts instantly. Built-in Schmitt-trigger circuitry on the input lines ensures clean switching and excellent noise immunity, making it an essential component for digital timing networks and legacy industrial repair.
